I found my purpose in life, to translate this word of God, and spread it to as many people as possible all around the world.
Now is the time to prepare for the Second Coming, and you have to be ready. That is why I am translating all the word of God through Grace Road Church, so that all of you can receive the truth too. So I hope that you take your Bible out, and listen to the messages, because even a single clip of the message can transform your life like it did for me.
Hello, my name is Soobong. I became a part of Grace Road Church since the year 2013 and I feel that I am the most blessed to be called for this work from among 7.5 billion people in the world and to be a part of this great work of God that is so important, because we’re right at the generation where the Second Coming of Jesus Christ is about to take place in our lifetime. First of all, I was born in Korea to a Christian family, and I moved to Canada when I was about 12 years old. And I stayed there for about 11 years until I heard the word of God through Grace Road Church. From an early age, I saw how people heightened the mood in those evening services by singing praise songs, and then they proceeded to turn off the lights, and they began wailing aloud in strange gibberish, which they call “the gift of tongue.” Everyone in the church started praying out loud, and bursting out in those gibberish repetitions, and it was so intense, and everyone was doing it. It wasn’t just that one church that I went to. In all the bible camps, and Christian conferences, they always had those nights, especially for the last night of the event. Even my mother did that tongue, and she once made me and my sister copy what she said, so that we would be able to pray in tongues too. I just couldn’t do it, and I really prayed intensely with tears in my eyes to receive “the gift of tongue,” but I didn’t receive it.
Church life was meaningless to me, and I had no confidence that I would go to heaven if I were to die right then. I couldn’t understand the bible with my logic and I was hopelessly lost as to what to do with my life, and I didn’t know how to please God like Enoch. Sure, I had good grades up to high school, and I took part in the school orchestra and so on, but when I went to university, that was a big downturn in my life. I just couldn’t adapt and cope with the studies. This burden of preparing for a good secure job in the future was weighing me down so hard, and I was just trying to forget all the worries by drowning myself in playing games and reading novels. And there was the sin, which is so easy to stumble upon, and so difficult to cut yourself away from once you’re caught in the snare: You guessed it – it’s pornography. The internet can be so deadly in many ways. I couldn’t control myself, and I was going to church, and yet I was not living as a Christian. God was not in my heart, and I was going straight to hell, and I knew it.
Then one day, my mother sent me a link to a YouTube video of Grace Road Church. It was titled “the biblical tongue.” Reverend Esther began by saying that the proper way of interpreting the Bible is to reveal God’s will. She said that God’s thoughts are different from the thoughts of men, so we have to interpret the Bible with the Bible, and discern the spiritual thoughts with spiritual words, instead of our own common sense and things that we picked up from other people and culture and society. It’s the ‘tongue’ of the kingdom of God, and we have to learn the vocabulary of the kingdom of God. We have to be able to see what God means in each word by interpreting it with God’s Word. So we have to interpret the Bible with the Bible so that we can actually understand God’s will. The tongue is the master key to open up God’s will to us. In 1. Cor. it says that prayer in ‘a tongue’ does not bear fruit in the mind. Not only that, it says that five words of understanding are better than ten thousand words in a tongue. It even says, “if you speak in tongues, will they not say that you are mad?” It IS mad. It sounds like a bunch of frogs croaking away. That was a big shock. It was so perfectly true. It WAS the truth. That was when my life changed. The word of God had entered my heart in December 2012. Then I came to Grace Road Church in Korea in May 2013 during my summer break, and I never went back again. And I found my purpose in life, to translate this word of God, and spread it to as many people as possible all around the world.
